Some more interior pleasure for your eyes. Things are still moving along at what feels like a snails pace, but we are well on our way. Hopefully we will be in by the end of the week. Poor hubby has been working so hard, I'm worried I might have broken him for good, but I finally have white painted floor boards! Hurrah! What a spoiled young lady I am.
These two room below are my dreams rooms. I want my dining room to look like these...
I have a question for you... I have managed to get my hands on a Kartell Fly emerald lamp shade (amazing cheap ebay find, such a result!!) . I am considering both the living room and the dining room as contenders to be graced with it's beauty. I know the traditional place seems to be above the dining room table but I think it would look amazing in the living room too... Help, I'm torn!
x

ARGHHHHH! that was the word I used when I read your last paragraph! Really? Cheap on Ebay? Jealous!!!!! Put it anywhere!! That lampshade will look great anywhere... Cannot wait to see the finished home... well done to your lovely man for working so hard. I have some floors here he could paint if gets withdrawl symptoms from the fumes and sanding (somehow I think he won't!) xx
ReplyDeleteThese are all beautiful....do let me know how you get on with the white floorboards, I'm seriously considering the same move, but worried about keeping them clean!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing fella to deal with floorboards and paint together. Am sure they look divine. And that lampshade, lucky girl! Either place would benefit from it's beauty am sure;) x ashley
ReplyDeletedreamy heavenly pictures alright. i'm not much help on the light positioning. we scored two great pendants at auction. one above the table and one in the living area. like i said, not much help to you!!
ReplyDeleteIf your gut instinct is to put it in the living room - do it! What a fantastic bargain. And i'm soooo jealous of the white floors.
ReplyDeleteWell if you remember our old place, we had one in the living room area as well as over the table, so anything goes, I reckon. As for ours, they are sadly collecting dust in the garage as there is nowhere for them here. Perhaps we’ll dig them out again one day if we move. Hope the move goes well x
ReplyDeleteGreat selection! I would put the lamp in the livingroom, but that's because I like when things are not exactly where expected... But these lamps are gorgeous anywhere!
ReplyDeleteGood luck for the move :)
That second room is breathtaking!
ReplyDeletehello there!
ReplyDeleteloving the bright colours on white, and that gorgeous blue in the last photos.
i'm more of a rustic gal myself... distressed furniture, chunky wood, warm tones.
it's fun dreaming of a room make-over... even better getting it done!
Get another one and hang one in each room. Problem solved! Jokes aside, I think it depends on the amount of light that it gives out. If that makes sense. My husband hates brighter lights in the lounge room. Maybe alternate 1 week between each room to see where it looks better?
ReplyDeleteEmerald sounds awesome! xx
